First Fox: President Donald Trump’s White House is waiving enforcement privileges for former President Joe Biden’s inner circle, Fox News Digital has learned.
Former White House doctor Kevin O’Connor was scheduled to testify this week by House Oversight Committee Chairman James Kommer on allegations that senior Biden aides concealed the president’s mental and physical decline.
“In light of the unique and extraordinary nature of the situation under investigation, President Trump has determined that the claims of enforcement privilege are not in the national interest and therefore are not justified in regard to certain subjects within the House Oversight Committee,” he said Fox News Digital received a letter to O’Connor sent from the White House.
“These subjects include former President Biden’s fitness for the presidency and his assessment of financial relations with the Biden family.”
Biden’s aides will expose Trump’s “weakness” in search of early discussion to showcase Biden’s “strength,” the book says.

When contacted for comment, O’Connor’s lawyer confirmed the receipt of a letter from the White House Lawyer’s office.
Comer summoned O’Connor last week after a doctor refused to voluntarily show up for a transcribed interview with House investigators.
However, O’Connor’s lawyer petitioned for a weekend delay, calling the scope of the investigation “unprecedented.”
“We are not aware of the previous opportunity that Congressional Committees summoned doctors to testify about the treatment of individual patients,” O’Connor’s legal team wrote. “And the notion that a Congressional Committee does so without any relation to the confidentiality of the physician-patient relationship is surprising.”
A House Oversight Committee spokesperson called their letters “a delayed tactic to force them to step into the Observatory Committee’s investigation.”

The deposition date has not been changed and if O’Connor does not appear, it could risk violating Congress’s subpoena.
A letter Tuesday from the White House Lawyer’s office said, “The extraordinary events in this matter constitute an exceptional situation ensuring accommodation to Congress. We read evidence that the aide to the former president’s aide concealed information about his fitness to use the president’s power.

“It is the President’s view that, once we have balanced the interests of accommodation and administrative agencies, it is an exceptional situation, particularly given the interests of the administrative agencies themselves in determining the validity of previous administrative measures, as required based on the accommodation process, that, as is the case with regard to the government’s own interest in determining the validity of previous administrative measures,” the letter states.
