A closed-door interview with Kevin O’Connor, a former White House physician, ended in less than an hour Wednesday morning.
O’Connor sued the Fifth Amendment over multiple questions about his time while sitting in with former President Joe Biden. The result was a rush to what could have been hours of deposition.
“I’m going to read the first two questions asked. “Have you ever been told to lie about the president’s health?” he pleaded for the fifth question. He didn’t answer that question.
“Again, President Biden’s White House doctor told us the fifth. This is unprecedented and I think this will add more fuel to the fire that had been covered up.”

The physician’s lawyer said O’Connor’s refusal to respond to the fifth amendment was not an approval of guilt, but a response to what was deemed an unprecedented scope of investigation that could violate the boundaries of patient-physician privilege.
