LOS ANGELES (AP) — Justin Bieber and Steve Carell will be joining Hockey Hall of Famer Rob Blake, Mark Messier, Kammi Granath and Jeremy on Sunday afternoon to support rescue funds from the Los Angeles fire. I finished my skate with Ronic.
The Los Angeles Kings and the National Hockey League held “Skate for Last Strong” at the Crypto.com Arena, benefiting Southern California’s efforts to recover from catastrophic wildfires.
“We want to have a good time and show us when we get together. Good things happen,” Bieber said.
The four-team exhibition tournament was the brainchild of the Hockey Hall of Famer and Kings President Lucarlo Bitaille.
The four teams had 15 skaters and one goaltender, and included a mix of celebrities, former players and local first responders.
“We were all moved by what happened last month. We all have friends, family, or different (people) that were affected, so we make a difference and do something. We’re going to raise as much as possible to make a difference so we can do it,” Robitaille said.
The team coached by actors Vince Vaughn and Coby Smulders took part in exhibition tournaments in both games.
Roenick playedfully dropped his gloves with Beaver in one of the games after having two goals that day.
“This was a great celebration of hockey and the first responders. It was a lot of fun, it was nice to see everyone showing up and some of the LA firefighters playing around.” Ronik said.
The other teams were coached by Will Ferrell and Snoop Dogg. Danny DeVito and Al Michaels. Hannah Stockings and Andrew Whitworth.

“When the king asked me to do this, I was like, ‘Absolutely’. Actor Skyler Astin said, “I don’t care if I’ve never skated before, even including it as much as they can. I’ve brought PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) here for the first time. We went, but it was the first time we’ve actually seen all the destruction firsthand, but it was really cold. It’ll take us a while for us to really get it right, but LA is a resilient community. Yes, I think we’ll do that.”
In addition to the games on television in Los Angeles, it was aired nationwide on ESPN2. Instead of tickets being sold, they were distributed to first responders and those chased by the fire.
