Finny, brother of singer Billie Eilish, said he was affected by immigrant anti-immigration and customs enforcement protests in downtown Los Angeles over the weekend.
On Sunday, he went to Instagram and explained what was going on around LA.
“Tear gas quickly came at a very peaceful protest in downtown. They’re incited this,” he wrote in an Instagram story about the clash between protesters and law enforcement.
The record producers then reposted several Instagram posts denounce the Trump administration and ice for the federal immigration attack that began in the region on Friday.
The raids sparked various protests throughout the city. President Donald Trump has raised tensions by deploying the California National Guard in LA without the permission of California Gov. Gavin Newsom. About 300 national security guards arrived in the city this weekend. Trump said he allowed 2,000 members to be deployed if necessary.
Both Newsom and LA Mayor Karen Bass accused the president of inciting Chaos over the weekend.
“Donald Trump is fueling the fire. It’s illegal and immoral to command the state’s National Guard without consulting the governor of that state. California will take him to court.”
In the meantime, Trump has called his decision “a great idea.”
“The people causing these problems are professional agitators, they are rebels, they are bad people. They should be in prison,” Trump said.
He said in his post to the Society of Truth, both Newsom and Bass thanked him and needed the army.
