FOX 1: Republicans and Democrats are uniting to dismantle the centralized power structure in Washington, D.C., with a new bill that would move federal agencies to other parts of the country.
Rep. Ashley Hinson (R-Iowa) and Rep. Jared Golden (D-Maine) on Tuesday introduced a bill that would move some U.S. government agencies to other locations in the nation’s 50 states, Fox News Digital said. reported.

But lawmakers said they needed help with federal leases while some space remains largely unused due to remote work policies left in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. He argued that oversight would ultimately save taxpayers money.
The bill also directs the federal government to use proceeds from the sale of federally owned land and buildings to offset relocation costs.
