California Gov. Gavin Newsom has vowed to reject a bill that would stop his state’s prison system from working with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the report said.

Congressional Bill 15 states that “when California prisons and prisons are voluntarily and unnecessarily relocated, members of the immigrant and refugee community will be forced to immigrate and customs from state or local custody for immigration detention and deportation. Subject to release to Enforcement (ICE), they double these community members and punishment and further trauma.”

“The Department of Amendments and Rehabilitation will be detained on a hold request, provided public date information to immigration authorities, respond to requests for notification, forwarded to immigration authorities, or promote or assist in requesting transfer of individuals. “People who are eligible for release will read some of the language of the bill.

However, Newsom’s Office told KCRA 3 it would reject the bill if the governor lands at his desk this year. The law is currently being referred to the Congress’s Public Safety Commission, the station added.

A Newsom spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital on Friday. The bill is sponsored by Mike Gipson, a Democrat representing Los Angeles.

Two years ago, Newsom rejected Congressional Bill 1306, which called for similar actions.

“The bill will inform the California Department of Amendments regarding the imminent release of imprisoned non-citizens, and the request for adjustment from the federal law enforcement agency, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency, or the person is not a person. It prohibits responding to requests for coordination from federal law enforcement when it is imminent. It is being released under certain circumstances,” Newsom wrote at the time.

“The bill prevents information sharing and coordination upon release of people from CDCR custody for a considerable number of people, resulting in the CDCR and the CDCR with federal law enforcement agencies responsible for assessing public safety risks. “It will interfere with the interaction of.

“I think the current law is a good balance by limiting interactions to support community trust and cooperation between law enforcement and the community. For this reason, I think this is what I think. You cannot sign the bill,” concluded Newsom.
