A Republican lawmaker in Colorado expressed shock when a Democrat colleague told him he had to remove a sticker from his laptop to support a second fix while in a room in the state home.

“I had to hide this, they couldn’t stand my stickers,” Colorado Republican state legislator Ken Degraf said in a statement on the floor of the state’s home.

“It signed “2-A” saying, ‘Not to be violated’, which was considered offensive, which would make this bill uncomfortable,” he continued.

The remarks come as Colorado legislators discuss a controversial gun control bill that restricts the sale of several semi-automatic firearms that rely on removable magazines such as the popular AR-15 platform.

NM lawmakers warn that they are wiping out gun control bills being prepared for the Passage Show.

The law, Colorado Senate Bill 25-003, is one of the strictest gun control measures in the country, and is what state Democrats argue to keep citizens safe.

“Preventing gun violence is one of the most effective ways to make communities safer and save lives. Semi-automatic weapons and high-capacity magazines are uniquely deadly and dangerous,” Sen. Meg Frolich, the bill’s demonstration catholic sponsor, told KKTV. “This bill is a common sense solution to ensure that people are effectively trained and meet requirements under state and federal firearms laws before purchasing the deadliest weapons on the market. From background checks and waiting periods to limit high-capacity magazines, Colorado Democrats have enacted multiple laws to protect Coloradan from future gun violence.”

KTTV reports that the bill passed a second measurement with the state Senate. This says lawmakers are primarily hoping they will be ready for the final vote next week.

The bill faces severe resistance from Republicans such as Degraf, who claim that the law violates the US Constitution.

Degraf accused his Democratic colleagues of being angry with the Constitution during his remarks on the House floor, pointing to forced removal as an example.

When Degraf lamented the covering of the sticker, he was informed that such displays are prohibited at the chamber’s “well” and therefore the only reason for the request is that they are prohibited at the chamber’s “well” between the chamber’s front desk and the first row of member seats.

“Well, there was no constitutional display for the well,” Degraf snatched.
