FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino shared a detailed update on the department’s business on Saturday, revealing that the agency is focusing on eliminating dangerous offenders and protecting children.
In a post of xBongino outlined some priorities and targeted what he called misleading media coverage of the FBI’s work.
“The workforce has been working overtime to run the task force to remove dangerous, illegal aliens from the country. The work continues,” writes Bongino. “If you come here illegally to prey on our citizens, your days here are numbered.”
He said these operations are only beginning and will increase in the coming weeks.

“These removal and incarceration operations, when combined with the administration’s laser focus on sealing border closures, will dramatically change the country’s criminal landscape,” he added.
Bongino also pointed to a new initiative focused on protecting children from predators.
“Crime against children is a priority for the workforce. The operation “restoration of justice” is just the beginning when we locked in child predators and 764 subjects in every part of the country,” he said. “If you take away your child’s innocence, we will take your freedom.”
He promised more enforcement efforts and warned those targeting children to “think twice.”

Bongino worked on the FBI’s efforts to deal with Congress and the public on several well-known cases. These include attacks on Rep. Steve Scullies, the Nashville School shooting, the Crossfire Hurricane investigation, and the origins of Covid-19. He also mentioned ongoing work with the Justice Department in the Jeffrey Epstein case.
“There’s a huge amount of downloaded child sexual abuse we’re dealing with,” he wrote. “There are also statements from victims who are entitled to certain protections. This needs to be done correctly, but I understand the public’s desire to provide information.”
He also came to the defense of FBI Director Patel, responding to what he described as a false narrative spread by some in the media.
“He spends 10-12 hours in the office where he attends meetings with everyone, from the head of foreign law enforcement to our counterterrorism team,” writes Bongino. “Otherwise, it’s a verifiable lie designed to stop our reforms and break your trust. I’m dying on this hill. You’re clearly lying to people with an agenda. That’s not your agenda.”
He closed it down by appreciating his attention and encouraged Americans to continue to see the FBI’s progress.
“God blesses America and all those who protect her,” he wrote.
Dan Bongino began his law enforcement career at the New York Police Department in 1995. He joined the US Secret Service in 1999 and later served in the elite presidential protection division of Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama.

After quitting government services, Bongino was appointed Republicans in Maryland and Florida. Bongino held a Saturday night show on the Fox News Channel from 2021 to 2023.
He is the author of several books, including Life Inside the Bubble, a memoir about his time at the Secret Service.
