Members of the Boston City Council laughed at the employment history of Emperor Tom Homan, who recently crossed the border.
Councillor Sharon Ducan, who accused Homan of spending his career as “policeing a town smaller than the crowd at Fenway Park,” was shortly after Fox News’ digital request for comments Sunday evening. I posted an explanation on.
“Yes, I understand that Tom Homan spent his career as a federal agent within Border Patrol & Ice, but that’s a world away from the reality of police in major cities,” Durkan explained. . “His background lies in immigration enforcement, not in the community’s police. Trust and accountability are important.”
The Smith College alumni raised an eyebrow after chuckling Homan’s short stint as a police officer in West Carthage, New York. However, Homan’s era in the small town sector lasted only from 1983 to 1984, becoming an agent of the Border Patrol, and eventually passed through the ranks of the Obama and Trump administrations.

“I laugh at how people who have spent their career policing in towns smaller than the crowds in Fenway Park think they can lecture Boston on public safety,” read the councillor’s original February 23 post. Ta. “Committee Michael Cox serves with distinction and earns faith in integrity.”
“Tom Homan should know, we don’t get scared easily,” Durkan added.
Durkan’s remarks came after Homan summoned Beantown in a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Saturday.

“I’m coming to Boston and bringing hell,” Homan said during his speech. “I saw the numbers this morning… I stopped counting and counting nine children rapists who were in prison in Massachusetts, but rather than honoring the ice detainees, you’re the ones I’ve returned it to the street.”
“You’re not the police chief,” added Trump administration officials. “Take that badge off your chest. Put it in the drawer of your desk. You’ve become a politician and you’ve forgotten what it’s like to be a police officer.”
The Massachusetts and the Boston area have recently seen the arrests of several criminal immigrants, including illegal immigrants linked to violent Brazilian gangs who were recently arrested in Bellingham. Cox previously said his department “does not enforce detainees” filed by the ice, and Boston officers said they “comply with Boston law and Massachusetts laws.”
“The Boston Police Department has pretty defined rules. We are following the laws of this state,” the police chief said in a segment of WCVB’s “on record” show. “We don’t enforce civil detainees on federal immigration laws. It’s defined here in the state, and that’s exactly how it works.”
