Officials confirmed Wednesday that the firefighter discovery in Brentwood actually linked to a man arrested two years ago for impersonating an Inland Empire law enforcement officer.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed with KTLA that an investigation involving the fictional Santa Muerte Fire Station is relevant, but details of that relationship will be left to the FBI to disclose as it is currently processing the investigation.
Wednesday’s arrest in the 100 block of South Rockingham Avenue impersonating a firearms violation, government fraud and first responder, but officials have not yet detailed who was arrested.

In 2023, Andrew de Boer of Chino Hills, then 42-year-old Andrew de Boer, was arrested for illegally carrying out traffic stops while portraying himself as a false fire station arson investigator.
He was charged with impersonating an officer and falsely incarcerated. The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office did not immediately return a request for information regarding the resolution in the case.
