Clikitat County Sheriff Bob Songer is calling for the “madness” of Deep Blue Washington Democratic leaders after Attorney General Nick Brown launched a lawsuit against one of his colleagues to help enforce immigration laws.
“They feel they can honestly run through everyone,” he said.
Brown, a Democrat, sued the Adams County Sheriff’s Office on Monday, denounced federal officials and the Trump administration and the office “unlawfully cooperate.”
The lawsuit filed in Spokane County Superior Court claims the Adams County Sheriff’s Office holds illegal immigrants in custody based on the status of the immigration, and helps federal agents question those in custody and share personal confidential information from Washington residents with federal officials.

The lawsuit sues a 2019 law prohibiting law enforcement agencies in the state from providing assistance in immigration enforcement. Brown is asking the court to force the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, led by Sheriff Dale Wagner, to comply with Keep Washington’s labor laws.
This is published the same week that US Border Patrol Chief Michael Banks Michael Banks has partnered with the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office to arrest alleged dealers of Mexican nationals and illegal firearms, including rifles, shotguns and pistols.
Representatives from the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office declined to request comment from Fox News Digital.
Songer, who vowed to help with Ice, told Fox News Digital that the Attorney General’s case is part of a broader effort by major Washington Democrats, including Gov. Bob Ferguson, and a wider effort to intimidate sheriffs to comply with the state’s sanctuary policy.
“The ice is coming, “please get ready,” says a major house GOP member.

He shared two days after Trump’s inauguration, his office received a request for public records from an individual named Charles Harvey for all his personal and official calls, texts and emails with federal authorities from 2021 to the present. The request said that if communication between Songer and Ice is found, it will be reported to the Attorney General’s office.

“In my opinion, it’s insanity. They’re being banged,” he said. “Why don’t the governor, lawmakers and new Attorney General Brown want to work with the ice to chase the bad people illegal in our country where law enforcement has committed felony and very serious felony?”
He praised Wagner and the Adams County Sheriff’s Office for standing on the ground, calling the Attorney General’s case “flat and ridiculous.”

Songer said he would not be threatened by the threat of investigations or litigation because he believes the Constitution is on his side.

“I hope my fellow sheriffs will stand up to the governor and this state and tell them that these laws are unconstitutional and we will not cooperate,” he said. “We need to be careful and follow the Constitution, and I think there will be a better country.”
“Citizens will be the first,” he concluded. “And I absolutely pray that Tom Homan will come to Washington, Blue and Sanctuary states because I believe Brown, their cohort, and elected politicians are violating federal law.
