Two siblings were hospitalized after being stabbed at a Santa Monica beach early Saturday morning.
On Sunday, one of the victims contacted the KTLA to give her an aspect of her and her brother’s story and asked to identify and find the suspect.
Demanding her name to be kept secret, the 28-year-old sister said she, her 24-year-old brother, his girlfriend and her two friends were on a late-night trip to the beach when the attack occurred.
She said that around 1am on Saturday, her group just wanted to get down to the beach and soak their toes in the water. Before they could reach the sand, the sister noticed the two men from afar and said it looked like she was riding a scooter on the boardwalk.
The sister said she felt it was suspicious, but continued their adventure anyway. But later they noticed the same man again – but this time they seemed to approach her group.
The two men were told they eventually approached her and her brother and began harassing them verbally. The sister said her brother was trying to protect her, his girlfriend and her other friends during the conflict.
She said it escalated and the man began to pull out a pocket knife and threaten him. At one point, the group’s sisters and others were able to record the suspects, and she shared some footage with the KTLA.

The sister asked the two men to leave her and her brother alone, but the suspect didn’t listen, instead physically attacking both with a knife and charged in.
The group can escape safely, and the sisters say she and her brother will run towards the parking lot to the car.
Police confirmed that officers responded to reports of stab wounds in the 1700 block of Ocean Front Walk around 2:26am Saturday.
The two victims were found to be suffering from stabbing injuries, according to the Santa Monica Police Department.
Authorities did not immediately provide the patient’s range of injuries, but the sisters said she was stabbed four times – on her head, back and under her armpits. Her brother was stabbed five times and hit his stomach and back.
The first responder took the siblings to a local hospital. There, he said SMPD remained stable on Saturday.
On Sunday, my sister said she had been recovering at home while her brother was still in the hospital.
Authorities did not immediately provide information about the suspect or review footage of the sisters.
Police said the investigation is active and ongoing and will share additional details if available.
