New York City mayoral races have ripple effects in races across the country, including the 2026 New Hampshire Senate race.
The former Massachusetts senator, who is now seeking a Republican nomination in Granite, said Mamdani is “a man who walks now” for a joint press conference earlier this week, with Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani and his former opponent, Sen. Elizabeth Warren.
“Let’s be transparent. That’s why New York is our financial capital. It’s a great city. I lived there.
“We’re looking at people supporting AOC, Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. Wanting to be an open border sanctuary city is an extreme left party,” he added.

“I linked Chris Pappas, so when asked directly whether he would support him, he wouldn’t answer the question, and it’s clear that he basically agrees with the AOC and Bernie Sanders on everything we’ve talked about.
Brown ran a digital ad called “Comrade Chris” in June, portraying Daddy alongside Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rep. Mamdani.
“Scott Brown is pathetic in how he runs this campaign,” Papas said. “People here in New Hampshire know I’m a New Hampshire Democrat. I’m someone who works across the aisle,” Pappas told WMUR when asked if he wanted to see Mamdani win and if he was tied up by the mayoral candidate on the far left. “The truth is, I don’t know what’s going to happen in New York City. What I’m focusing on is what’s going on here in New Hampshire.”

“Republicans are running tens of millions of dollars of attack ads against me trying to portray me as someone I am not,” Democrats said in a recent interview with Fox News Digital.
“We have the first primary of the country, and if this guy wins [the mayor’s race]and then he campaigns for all these other Democrats here, and they are pushed so far extreme that New Hampshire people look right through it,” he said of Mamdani.
“But the difference [Warren] And Chris Pappas is that she believes what she believes and she will let you know. Where are you standing in the blank when asking Chris Pappas about him and other policies? […] He is [gives] This big, complicated answer,” Brown said.

“He can’t answer questions and has no strong belief in the matter. He’s basically a follower. He follows leadership,” he added.

In 2010, Brown became the first Massachusetts Senator in decades. He told Fox News Digital this week that “energy feels like 2010.” This victory was considered a major early success of the Tea Party movement. He was later defeated by Warren in the 2012 election.
