Air quality authorities have issued a no-burn day warning for all people living in south coast airspace.
This alert is scheduled to expire on Saturday, December 28th at 11:59 PM.
According to the South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD), the area affected by the warning includes non-desert areas of Orange County, Los Angeles County, Riverside County and San Bernardino County.

However, this warning does not apply to mountainous areas above 3,000 feet, the Coachella Valley, or the High Desert. Households that rely on wood as their sole heat source, low-income households, and households without natural gas supplies are also exempt from this requirement. Gas fireplaces and other non-wood burning fireplaces are not restricted.
“South Coast AQMD reminds residents in these areas that burning wood in fireplaces or indoor or outdoor wood burning appliances is prohibited at all times on prohibited days.
