The shopkeeper, who lost business in the Palisade fire and reopened in Hollywood, says he was the victim of a robbery overnight.

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed with KTLA that it had responded to the business at 1050 Cahuenga Avenue around 4am Tuesday in a report that officers had broken into the business at 1050 Cahuenga Avenue. The address provided by the police is at Magoo’s LA, a store where people can buy and sell clothes, shoes and other items.

Although LAPD officials were unable to immediately confirm whether anything was filmed, Magoo’s LA owner Jacob Maged provided KTLA with surveillance footage showing the suspects plundered the store, stealing the product, leaving behind the confusion that followed. The video shows them rushing to have piles of clothes from multiple display rooms and storage rooms.

Video shot by KTLA photojournalist Dan Lansford shows the burglar appear to have pryed open a metal window covered in the exterior wall before shattering the window for access.

Maged said he lost business in the Palisades fire earlier this year and is in a hurry to reopen in Hollywood.

The Palisade Chamber of Commerce in Malibu Pacific lists the address of the former LA location in Magou as 869 Swarthmore Avenue in the Pacific Palisades district.
