Illinois Governor JB Pretzker has adopted a satirical jab in President Donald Trump’s efforts to rename the Gulf of Mexico and Annex Greenland.
Straight-faced Pritzker released a choreographed video on Friday. Fake camera shutter clicks are turned off in the background, renaming Lake Michigan to “Lake Illinois” and enjoying Trump’s recent executive order that changed the Gulf Coast. From Mexico to the Gulf of America.

Pritzker orders Trump’s orders for birthright citizenship: “We will not obey unconstitutional orders.”
“The world’s finest geographers studying the Earth’s natural environment have concluded a decades-long council and decided that the great lake deserves to be named after the great state,” Pretzker said. I said that.

Trump signed Executive Order 14172 on his first inauguration day, which changed the name of the sea basin. The order also renamed North America’s highest peak to “Mount McKinley,” and reversed a 2015 decision to call it centuries-old by the name Denali.
Google says that when the interior department updates its geographical name information system, it will make changes to Trump. As of today, Google Maps is still known as the Gulf of Mexico.
In the video, Pretzker switches his attention to Green Bay, a Wisconsin city near Lake Michigan. And just as Trump vowed to take over Greenland from Denmark, Pretzker pledged to snap Green Bay from Badgers.
“In addition, the recent announcement that the US will buy Greenland to protect its homeland… Illinois will annex Green Bay to protect itself from its foreign and domestic enemies.” said Pretzker.

The video is because the Sanctuary policy allegedly obstructed federal immigration enforcement shortly after the Justice Department lawsuit filed against Illinois and the city of Chicago.
The lawsuit argues that several state and local laws are designed to interfere with the federal government’s enforcement of federal immigration laws in violation of the hegemony clauses of the US Constitution.

Pretzker and Trump also clashed over Trump’s executive order to declare the move unconstitutional and end birthright citizenship.
Trump’s order, “Protecting the Meaning and Values of American Citizenship,” argues that the 14th amendment to the Constitution does not automatically grant American citizenship to individuals born within the United States.
They also rebutted during Trump’s first term when Pretzker allegedly recovered a quarter of the requested personal protective equipment from the federal government.
