The San Mateo man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly firing fire in an SUV with three high school boys who poured oil into a pouch and laying eggs, authorities said.
Craig Miseli, 54, told officers that his daughter was a victim of constant bullying in high school and was pissed off by her mischievous antics, according to the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office.
Prosecutors said the two boys, ages 16 and 17, targeted the San Mateo home, a female classmate whom they didn’t like from Hillsdale High School.
First, they spread the oil on Miseli’s front pouch on Friday. They then returned early on Sunday morning, each threw an egg into his house.
According to the DA’s office, Miseli fought York with the lead and reportedly fired two shots in the boy’s SUV.
He told officers he was angry that he had to spend time cleaning oil from the pouch before the egg incident, so he angeredly grabbed the gun and fired it with the tires of the boy’s car, prosecutors said. Miseli said he later dumped his weapon into Water Dog Lake.
Police later obtained a search warrant and retrieved illegal automatic rifles and several types of ammunition from his home.
Miseli was charged with three counts of assault with a firearm, one count of shooting in an occupying vehicle and two counts related to illegal weapons of assault. He was arrested Tuesday in San Mateo Superior Court and pleaded not guilty to all charges.
The court issued a protective order prohibiting Miceli from contacting teenagers. His bail is set at $25,000 and is returning to court for a June 9 preliminary hearing, according to the DA’s office.
