California Pizza Kitchen celebrates its 40th anniversary with a series of promotions, menu items and collaboration with busy Philips, an actor and former employee actress.
The actress began working as a hostess in her high school California Pizza Kitchen in Arizona – she has had a soft spot for the chain since growing up in the Phoenix suburbs of Scottsdale, around the age of 16 or 17.
“I’ve been a huge CPK fan ever since I worked there as a hostess back then, and of course I was excited to help them celebrate this incredible anniversary,” Phillips said in a statement. “My job was to remind CPK that at age 40 there’s no need to reinvent it. Their legacy and continued leadership are what keeps people of all ages who have loved the brand for so many years, with incredible flavours and lasting memories.”

To celebrate the 40th anniversary, CPK has reintroduced menu items selected from the past, selected by guests, team members, executive chef Paul Pszybylski, and company founders Rick Rosenfield and Larry Flax.

(CPK) Rosemary Roasted Potato & Grilled Chicken Pizza – Lemon Cream Sauce, Grilled Chicken, Roasted Yukon Gold Potato, Mozzarella Cheese, Parmesan, Fresh Rosemary, Wild Greek Oregano. Chicken Milanese – Chicken breast covered in aruguko with optional tomato basil sauce, homemade check, parmesan and lemon panco. Waldorf Chicken Salad – A mix of field greens, grilled chicken, red grapes, grandma’s Smith apple, celery, candied walnuts, gorgonzola, Dijon Balsamic vinaigrette or blue cheese dressing. Tortilla Spring Roll – Hand-rolled flour tortillas stuffed with Baha chicken, Thai chicken, Mediterranean stuffing, bake in a pizza oven with CPK.
CPK’s annual thank-you card promotion has also returned to its anniversary. The promotion will offer awards to all adult guests who will eat or order takeout or delivery by May 11th.
Prizes range from future meal discounts to cash awards of up to $40,000.
This year, CPK is introducing a digital second chance prize. By scanning the QR code with the thanks card, guests can join CPK Rewards with a $5 bonus and a chance to win a 5-day cruise.
Guests will be able to reveal prizes at full-service CPK locations from March 2nd to June 8th.
