Riverside County prosecutors have dropped rape charges against Dunprice, the former chief executive of gravity pay, who was accused of sexually assaulting his girlfriend at an ace hotel in Palm Springs in 2021.

The charges against the 41-year-old founder of a Seattle-based high-tech company were dismissed Tuesday for irreparable evidence, according to the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office.

Price became famous in 2015 when he received a salary cut of about 93% to increase employee starting salaries to $70,000. However, his reputation as a progressive movement’s beloved man was grossed in 2022 when the New York Times published accusations he denied when he detailed his allegedly abused women.

This article based on interviews with more than dozens of women, depicted the portrait of a predatory man who used his fame to allow patterns of abuse in his personal life.

He also shared the story of his ex-girlfriend Casey Margis. He accused her of raping her in Palm Springs in April 2021 after saying she didn’t want to have sex and that she was taking cannabis edibles to combat insomnia. The next morning, she ran away from her hotel room and reported the suspected rape to the police.

Price resigned from his executive role in August 2022 with gravity payments for credit card payments processing company; Statement on x That he needs to “focus full-time on the fight against false accusations” made against him.

“I’m not going anywhere,” he vowed.

Last May, he announced that he had returned to gravity payments full-time as an advisor to the CEO.

In September, a large Riverside County ju judge indicted him with one count of raping an unconscious victim, according to court documents. He voluntarily appeared in court and posted a $55,000 bail.

“I intend to prove that the allegations are false in court,” he said in an October statement on X.

Price was ultimately not in a plea to the Palm Springs case as his arrest was postponed multiple times.

The Riverside County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement shared with the times, “After thorough consideration and careful consideration of all available evidence, it has determined that it cannot pursue the charges against Price beyond reasonable doubt.”

Price was represented by Vicki Podbereski, a well-known criminal lawyer who represented the Church of Scientology in a rape case that included “Show of the 70s” actor Danny Masterson, and a well-known criminal lawyer who represented former USC Dean Marilyn Flynn during the federal corruption investigation.

Price also faces misdemeanor assault charges in Seattle, accusing the woman of forcing an unnecessary kiss after going to dinner and grabbing her by the neck. According to the Seattle Times, these charges were removed against him in 2023.

In a recent court statement, Margis said that the big ju judge believed in her rape allegations after hearing testimony from hotel staff, law enforcement, another witness and herself, the news outlet reported.

“But now I’m sitting here watching the same man walk freely again,” she wrote. “I hope this court recognizes the strength necessary to survive something like this: to speak up, relive it over and over again, and still stand high.”
