Career government employees working on policies are classified “freely”: White House

President Trump on Friday said career government employees working on administration’s policy matters would be to reclassify “scheduling policy/career” or willing employees and would be fired if they fail to follow his agenda.

“After my day’s executive order, the Human Resources Bureau will issue new civil service regulations to employees of the occupational government,” the president wrote on a true Friday afternoon.

He added, “Employees of career governments working on moving forward, policy matters will be categorized as ‘scheduling policy/career’ and classified as the highest standards of action and performance.”

This is because the Trump administration continues to fire federal employees to reduce government.

The administration’s Office of Personnel Management (OPM) said that changes to the rules of Trump’s executive order “restore liability for positions in policy violations within the federal workforce” would affect roughly 50,000 employees or 2% of the federal workforce, the White House said in a memo Friday.

“Regulations of civil servants with key policy making, policy making, policy advocacy or confidential obligations” are considered “willed employees.”

Trump added in his post: “If these government workers refuse to advance the president’s policy interests, or engage in corrupt behaviour, they should no longer have jobs. This is common sense and allows the federal government to ultimately “run like business.” We must eradicate corruption and implement accountability to federal workers! ”

Supreme Court Rules on the Status of Tens of Thousands of Dismissed Probation Employees

The White House said “the rules force employees to quickly remove the role of policy misconduct for poor performance, fraud, corruption or subversion without long procedural hurdles.”

Employees do not need to personally support the president, but they “must faithfully implement the law and administration policies.”

The proposed rules will not change the work status of affected employees until another executive order is issued, the White House said.
