The pursuit ended late Monday afternoon with a violent crash fall, when the suspect’s car landed on the roof and the lieutenant’s car plunged into a South Bay home near the Goodyear plane’s base.
According to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lakewood Station, the suspect was asked to be carjacked and was driving a stolen car.
At about 4:20pm, the suspect allegedly hit a tractor trailer but continued driving.
The driver, who had not been identified by staff, crashed again and rolled around around 4:30pm.
Although details are limited, Sky5 was overhead around 4:45pm, and while the pursuit it appears that a team of lieutenants had been hit, then left the road and crashed into the front wall of Carson’s house.
Paramedics responded to a residence along Broadway and South Main Street to treat a deputy who reported that Gil Leyvas of Ktla was against the home.
Authorities did not disclose the status of the aide or suspect at 5pm Monday, but said no one was being taken from the scene.
Additionally, Leibas reported seeing the suspect in custody and the aide was being treated.
