An Orange County woman was reunited with her beloved cat, Clubbar, almost a week after he was stolen from her home, police said Thursday.
However, the suspected catnapping remains massive.
Surveillance video appeared on the evening of March 21st, when he stolen a club bar, a 10-month-old Bengal Links cat, from outside his Westminster home.
Cat owner Eva Koleu told KTLA that the clubbar was sitting under his boyfriend’s car when a stranger stood up and took him there.
Surveillance footage from the home showed a man at the end of a driveway in Koleu, who was attempting to seduce the club bar, probably using food.
When Clubber approached, police said the man quickly grabbed the cat and escaped a white pickup truck, perhaps a Toyota Tacoma.
Koleu returns home later that night and discovers the club bar is missing the next morning.
When she began searching for him, she saw that the air tag regularly attached to the collar of the club bar was stationary, and she quickly found it near her driveway.
Corlew reported the incident to police, began posting it on social media, and began visiting door-to-doors in her neighborhood in an attempt to find her beloved cat.
Later in an update released on March 27, Westminster Police Department said officers received hints that the clubbar was at Santa Ana’s home.
The officer discovers that the cat is safe and unharmed and reunited him with Koleu.
The theft is still under investigation and the search for the suspect is ongoing. Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect and his vehicle.
Detectives described the suspect as a man who had a medium build at 6 feet tall, perhaps aged 40-50.
At the time of catnapping, the suspect was wearing a long-sleeved orange shirt, black jeans and a white hat.
