Federal health officials are investigating a multi-stage outbreak of salmonella infections linked to imported pistachio cream products.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that three people from Minnesota and one from New Jersey had become ill between March 10th and May 19th. One person was hospitalized. No deaths have been reported.
Pistachio cream was manufactured by Emek Dogal Saglik Urunleri Iklim Gida Insaat San Tic Ltd STI in Turkey and imported to the US. There is a date for October 19th, 2026. Shelf-Stable Nut Butter Cream is sold online mainly at wholesalers, restaurants and foodservice locations nationwide.

Consumers and businesses are urged to not eat, sell or serve products under production code 241019. As of Friday, no recalls had been issued.
Common symptoms of Salmonella infection include diarrhea, fever, and stomach cramps, which usually occur 6 hours to 6 days after exposure.
The CDC advises anyone experiencing high fever, prolonged diarrhea, bloody stool, or dehydration after consuming pistachio cream and seeking a doctor’s appointment.
