French concert series Cercle performed electronic music sets at several immeasurably beautiful spots. Observatory above the Alps, ancient temples in Egypt, waterfalls in Bosnia and Herzegovina, hot balloons above turkeys, and dozens of other places that whip our Wanderlast.
This is a series surrounded by new screens bound for Los Angeles in May, bringing the taste of these natural environments indoors. Called Cercle Odyssey, this debut event will feature performances from Paul Calkbrenner, Empire of the Sun, Moby, Flame and another announced artist.
Cercle Odyssey will premiere in Mexico City (April 23-27), stopping in LA (May 7-11) before stopping in Paris (May 28-June 1), but the concept is the same. 25,000 square feet canvas screen. The render bullies 360-degree footage of snowy peaks, forested hills and curl waves. Each proven show at the LA Convention Center can accommodate up to 5,000 participants.
