The crash of two messy vehicles left pedestrians in critical condition, and a car protruded into the side of a Burbank building, police confirmed Friday morning.
The Burbank Police Department said the crash occurred in the 4200 block of Riverside Drive around 8:30pm Thursday. Officers responded to a report of a major injury crash at 8:35pm and arrived to find a pedestrian on the ground, 4252 Riverside Dr.
A preliminary investigation has been released that two vehicles collided at the intersection of Riverside Drive and Rose Street. The shock resulted in one of the vehicles hitting a pedestrian standing at the corner before intervening on the side of the business building. Emergency personnel took the patient to a local hospital in critical but stable condition.
In an update at 10am, police said the pedestrian suffered serious injuries but was conscious and responsive throughout the incident and expected to recover. Her identity was not immediately provided. No other injuries have been reported as a result of the crash.
Footage from the scene showed the aftermath of the crash. This required the tow truck to pull the car out of the building where it landed. Despite the major damages, the responding Burbank Fire Station Battalion Chief said the building is structurally sound and the necessary notice will be given to the city building inspector. Additionally, police said the property owner exists and is aware of the situation.

KTLA later confirmed that the building belongs to a business named Feybl, which uses the location as a Coworking and Creative Wellness Center. Feybl posted a message on his Instagram Story around 7am, telling customers about the crash and the closure that it causes. “Thankfully, our members and employees were not hurt, and that’s the most important thing,” the statement read.
“Our library is bearing the brunt of the damage and will close that space until further notice,” the post continued in part. “As many people know, we built our own clubhouses and we had so much support from the community, like we did.
Police said no arrests had been made and all involved remained at the scene. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
