LA may not have a late-night dining scene in New York City, but it is still possible to find a great meal in a few hours. Ask the hardworking and talented chefs behind some of the best new restaurants in LA. They kindly shared their favourite locations after they got off the evening shifts and unusual days. In honor of all the nightlife of Time Out’s month-long celebration, I contacted five different hospitality industry veterans to find out where they wanted to go.

“After my shift, I really want to go to the Normandy Club (Koreatown) and have some drinks. [Daisy/Mírate bar director Max Reis and I] Go to a place called Johnny’s Bar in Highland Park, near Max’s house. We often go there together. Sometimes we go to Jones (Hollywood) for pizza and their martini. We like their pizza (lol). Sometimes we take caviar from the daisy and place it on the pizza along with the martini. ”

(Editor’s note: Leonard began this conversation by saying he normally goes straight to the house.)

“If I’m really hungry, I have a place here that is somewhat open to the west side here on the West Side. Perhaps my request is in-n-ut. [Editor’s note: It closes at 1am]. My favorite is from Venice [Boulevard] With the palm of your hand.

I haven’t hit the bar (Venice) many times for their pizza. I hit that German bar [Wurstküche (Venice)] In Lincoln, if you come out of here before 11 years old, they have great rattlesnakes and rabbit brats.

Also surrounded by these amazing street vendors. Tacos are a big part of my life. There’s something great near my home in Centinera and Venice. Sometimes there’s an actual truck called Mar Vista Tacos. Lincoln has something else [in front of the Whole Foods]. When I was there [wrorking] At Felix, I always go there. Now I hit what was in front of Mitsuwa [Mar Vista]. It’s decent and I can see it from my apartment. That’s usually what I get after work.

Miles Thompson, Baby Bistro (Chinatown)

“There are several places [I like]. The classic LA Place is Dan Son Sa (Koreatown). I love Rune Pair (a town in Thailand). It’s not open as late as before. Previously it was open until 3am, and it was like a dream. But now it’s only open to 11, and that’s fine. After work, I don’t make it often. However, I have lived in Los Angeles for almost 15 years. [to Ruen Pair] Over 150 times.

I love the Prince of Koreatown. Koreaun is like a place to go. That’s the late-night kindest part of Los Angeles, I’d say. I love many of the places in Koreatown, but I haven’t left since Baby Bistro opened. One of the places I love to grab a drink is called Bear Henry (Echo Park). It’s a good place to grab a drink. They have pretzels that you can get to there.

I live in East Los Angeles so honestly it’s like being in Taco Stoll Haven. I drive along Cesar Chavez. It is home to 8-10 small food stalls, ranging from Tijuana style to cheap villia. ”

Adam Leonti of Albara (West Hollywood)

(Editor’s note/context: Leonti moved from New York to LA about a year ago.)

“I like going to Jones on holidays. I usually have Manhattan and get a New York strip. It’s actually pretty good. [Grill] It’s far from Melrose. I usually grill, grill, grill, grill, and feel pretty good. But driving really puts your mind. I’ve never even thought about going anywhere with a drink. ”

Lucia’s Adrien Forte (Viva Grove)

“When it comes to late night spots, I’m a very meat and potato-like guy. I love Chris N. Eddie (Hollywood). Crispy edged pate, melted cheese. It’s convenient and always delicious.”

Giles Clark of Cafe 2001 (Arts District)

“Sometimes I go to Capri Club (Eagle Rock) and then to Walt [Bar (Eagle Rock)] Just down the road and finish the night for a beer of ham and a hot dog.

If you want to eat [a late-night meal] It means Koreatown. This is because it is usually the food that gives me the most energy. Lots of meat, fresh vegetables, fermented vegetables. byul [Gobchang] Intestinal BBQ at Songhak (Editor’s Note: Songhak is currently permanently closed). Then I finish the evening with the Prince and HMS bounty.

If you decide to go to San Gabriel Valley, go to Jadee (Alhambra). It’s a bar all over the US. There aren’t many places in LA that feel like a nearby bar. It reminds me of a lovely old British pub. The way people use it feels the same as people use pubs in the UK. ”
