A child with fentanyl tested positive after taking a mystery pill reportedly found at a day care in Victorville.
On March 18, San Bernardino County representatives responded to LA Petite Academy on Bear Valley Road in 14040.
The workers gathered the caplets and were quickly called law enforcement.
Authorities have recognized tablets that have “M30” printed as counterfeit drugs containing fentanyl.
After reviewing surveillance footage, deputies identified three children who were believed to have taken the tablets.
The children were treated with two staff members at a local hospital where at least one child tested positive for fentanyl.

It is unclear how the pills arrive at the facility and authorities are gathering evidence and interviewing staff and parents for more information.
No further details have been made as the incident remains under investigation.
