Mexican drug cartels are getting help from the Chinese to build a drug empire that feeds American consumers.

This week, Border Patrol officials intercepted 50,000 kilos of precursor chemicals sent from China to be used in the manufacturing process of methamphetamine for members of the Mexican Sinaloa cartel. In addition to providing the chemicals necessary to make illegal drugs to the chemicals needed to make illegal drugs, Chinese groups are also one of the most important actors in helping them wash their revenues, according to the Ministry of Finance.

“For too long, Mexican drug cartels have raked billions of dollars at the expense of local communities depriving them of addiction, death and despair,” said Homeland Security Investigator for the Special Customs Enforcement (ICE) Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Houston. “This initiative offers HSIs a way to change the game one step ahead of the cartels by destroying the flow of chemicals they rely on to produce illegal drugs.”

The attack was part of an ongoing initiative launched in 2019, identifying suspected shipments of precursor chemicals from other countries destined to drug cartels in China, India and Mexico. Since the initiative was established, authorities have intervened with more than 1,700,000 kilograms of chemicals used in the production of methamphetamine and fentanyl, including seizures of 44,000 kilograms of precursor chemicals in the Port of Houston, the doomed Sinaloa Cartel.

The bust of immigration officers is in the news of other incidents involving Chinese citizens who are espionage and individuals who work for China, from selling agrotelism and military secrets to infiltrating American universities and political divisions online using American-based products.

In the latest case, two Chinese citizens were charged with allegedly smuggling “dangerous biological pathogens” into the United States to study at the University of Michigan lab. This came amid a controversy over the Trump administration’s efforts to strengthen visa scrutiny among Chinese citizens trying to enter the United States.

Last month, a vast study by a group of students at Stanford University detailed how students and teacher cultures work for the Communist Party of China (CCP). The report highlighted ways they would like to work with the Chinese government, such as sharing intellectual property and adjusting China’s interests and research priorities, but may be forced to work as a CCP, especially if they have a family in Beijing.

Meanwhile, reports have emerged this week that China’s efforts to steal US secrets and sow the political sector.

On Friday, the Justice Department charged two Chinese citizens with legal permanent residents for conspiring to transport CCP-sensitive American military technology.

Over the weekend, a British businessman was arrested for trying to smuggle sensitive US military components into China.

This week’s American Artificial Intelligence Company Openai has also shut down China-linked impact manipulations that used ChatGPT products to generate social media posts and sowed the political sectors related to US politics online.

“The new visa policy has been delayed for a long time,” said Rep. Michele Steel. “After four years of intentional ignorance (or terrible incompetence) under the Biden administration, President Trump wasted no time instructing the administration to take the critical and necessary actions to ultimately stop the growing threat of Chinese communist spinage.”
