Traffic stops on the California Highway Patrol will cause major drug and weapons attacks across California.
The CHP said officers continue to make a difference in communities across the state by turning everyday traffic enforcement into a bust of key drugs and weapons.
Officials from the Oroville area arrested a South Butte County driver after finding six pounds of methamphetamine suspected during a traffic stop, CHP said.
Santa Cruz crew helped coastal department K9 officers and his partner Rae arrest the 20-year-old suspect, who was linked to a previous crime, authorities said.
Officers said they found two unregistered handguns while looking inside the vehicle.

West Los Angeles authorities have stopped drivers to drive red lights on Vermont Avenue and Century Boulevard. They stated that simple traffic violations led to the discovery of promethazine hydrochloride, unregistered firearms, and open containers of drugs for sale.
“These cases highlight the importance of aggressive enforcement and the true routine of traffic stops, the CHP said.”
