A traditional Disneyland snack will replace roast turkey as the centerpiece of John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s Thanksgiving feast.
In an interview with Travel and Leisure magazine, Legend and Teigen revealed that they will be ordering 20 turkey legs from Disneyland to serve at this year’s Thanksgiving dinner.
“Anyone who’s ever eaten this knows it tastes like ham. They’re crazy to me. Turkey doesn’t get any better than this.” Teigen Travel & Leisure told the magazine.
Teigen also revealed that she, her husband, and their four children often enjoy snacks during trips to Disneyland.

“When I’m at Disneyland, I just lean against the trash can and peck at the turkey legs. That’s always one of my favorite moments, so that’s my cheat for turkey this year,” Teigen told the publication. Ta.
Turkey legs are one of the most popular snacks at The Happiest Place on Earth, along with Mickey-shaped pretzels, ice cream bars, popcorn, and churros. But before it appeared in Disney parks, this snack was known as a Renaissance Faire staple.
According to Mickey Visit, it wasn’t until 1989 that a man named Dave Jarrett came up with the idea of selling snacks in Frontierland at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.
The snack eventually became available at other Disney parks.
Serving Disneyland turkey legs instead of turkey isn’t Teigen’s only Thanksgiving “cheat.” Also, if you want a good workaround, use Popeyes or Kentucky Fried Chicken gravy instead of making your own gravy.

“What I’ve learned over the years of stressing about Thanksgiving and the holidays is that if you like the taste of something, you can’t do better than what you love or grew up with. Bring it on,” Teigen told Travel & Leisure. “On my days off, I spend a lot of time with my family and not running around in the kitchen, so I try to keep it as fun and simple as possible.”
