CIA director John Ratcliffe said signal chat text issued by the Atlantic on Wednesday revealed a so-called “plan of attack” targeting the Hooty rebels in Yemen.
Speaking at a hearing of the House Intelligence Email Committee on the global threat, Ratcliffe told lawmakers, “I am also grateful for the opportunity to relay the fact that yesterday I spent four hours asking questions from the senators as a result of that article, which I had intimate about sending classified information because of a hidden message.”
“These messages were revealed today, revealing that I did not send any classified information and that a reporter I didn’t know about was intentionally intended to show it,” Ratcliffe continued. “The reporter also showed that I had released the name of a masked CIA operative in that signal chat. In fact, I have released the name of my staff chief who has not operated an undercover investigation. It was intentionally false and misleading.”
“I used the right channels to convey sensitive information, and I was allowed to do so. I didn’t transfer any sorted information. And at the end of the day, most importantly, that the mission was an incredible success, everyone should focus on here.

He attended the National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard Director John Ratcliffe and the US Air Force Lt. General and Defferent Intelligence Agency (DIA) Jeffrey Intelligence Committee, and on Wednesday, March 26th, he attended the House Intelligence Committee, where he heard about the global threats at Capitol Hill, Washington, DC.
In a message published Wednesday, Atlantic quoted Hegseth in a signal group text chat, “Team Update: Time Now (1144et): Says the weather will improve. (MQ-9), Hegseth apparently wrote in a screenshot of a text message released by the Atlantic on Wednesday.
“1410: Other F-18 launches (second strike package). 1415: 1415: Target Strike Drone (this will definitely cause the first bomb to fall, and the previous “trigger-based” target will be put on hold. 1536F-18 The second strike will begin. [operational security]”And “God Speed to Our Warriors.”
National Intelligence Director Tarshi Gabbard vowed to the Senate Intelligence Email Committee on Tuesday that the message “doesn’t have any classified material.”
“My answer yesterday was based on my recollections, or its lack of details posted there. What was shared today reflects the fact that I was not directly involved in that part of the signal chat and I answered it last time.
“So, within less than two weeks, it’s your testimony that you were in a signal chat with all the information about the targets of the F-18 and MQ-9 Reapers and Strike. And you forgot that in those two weeks it was there. Is that your testimony?” Ranking member Jim Himez, D-Conn. asked her.

“My testimony is that I couldn’t remember the exact details of what was contained there,” Gabbard said.
“That wasn’t your testimony,” replied Himes. “Your testimony was that you didn’t know anything related to weapons, packaging, targets, or timing.”
“When yesterday’s testimony continued, there were further questions related to it, where I admitted there was a conversation about weapons,” Gabbard said. “And I don’t remember the exact language I used, but I didn’t remember the specific details that were included.”
At one point during the Senate hearing Wednesday, General Jeffrey Cruze, director of the Defense Intelligence Reporting Agency, said there were “operational details” in the signal message.
Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi, D-Ill. , and D-Colo. Rep. Jason Crow has also joined other Congressional Democrats calling for Secretary of State Pete Hegses to step down over leaks.

“There are no modifications. There are no modifications until there is accountability. And I am calling on management to take accountability,” Crowe said.
