Pine Hill, N.J. – A week to go to New Jersey’s major day, Republican governor candidate Jack Ciatarelli cried out by the most powerful and influential politicians in the GOP.

“I’m asking you to vote for Jack Theatarelli, the true champion of the people of your state. He’s my friend and he was a real success story,” President Donald Trump told supporters when he dialed the Terrelli on the eve of kickoff Tuesday’s early voting in New Jersey.

Trump’s praise came two weeks after he supported Chatarelli for the Republican nomination in a major race that turned into a fight for the president’s support.

“That’s a real big deal,” Chatterelli said in a Monday interview with Fox News Digital after meeting local GOP politicians and leaders at Trump National Golf Club Philadelphia in this South Jersey Borough when asked about the importance of Trump’s support. “The president is doing very well in New Jersey.”

Former state legislator Ciattarelli has placed his third bid for the governor. He failed to get a GOP nomination in 2017. Four years later, in 2021, Republican candidate Ciattarelli was overabundant, approaching the expulsion of Democrat incumbent government Phil Murphy, losing by just three points.

In a showdown against Murphy’s successor who is being prevented from running for term-limited reelection, polls suggest that Ciattarelli is the frontrunner of the Republican nomination race.

And Ciattarelli and Spadea spent months on fire about which of them were bigger Trump supporters.

“It was certainly a shame,” Spadair said of Trump’s support of Chatterelli. “I mean, there was no bones about this. I absolutely wanted the President’s support. Unfortunately, the President supported the polls, not the plan.”

And in a digital interview with Fox News, Spadea emphasized that, as he mentioned Trump’s announcement in his first presidential election in 2015, “he has been a supporter of President Trump since he dropped the escalator.”

“There’s no doubt I’m a common sense conservative. I’m an actual Republican in this primary,” argued Sudair.

And Spadea has questioned Chatterelli’s support for Trump, claiming his rival has “disregarded most of the past eight years and that his rival has downplayed him.

Four years ago, after winning a GOP governor nomination, Ciattarelli told Fox News Digital when asked if he wanted the support of the then-president. “There’s only one support I’m looking for. That’s the support of voters in New Jersey.

Fast forward to 2025, Ciattarelli said, “People stressed that they really appreciate him [Trump] I do it for New Jersey people. He has a temporary hold on a wind farm from the Jersey Shore. He is beating the New York Democrats over busy pricing. He supports 4 times the salt [state and local tax] Deductions on federal tax returns. These are the big deals for New Jersey. So he has received a lot of support here. And I am honored to have his support. ”

Republican governor’s chairman pointed out the campaign fight first, touting “Our policy is better”

While he lost Trump’s support, Spadea said it had a silver lining.

“Our supporters are galvanized. In fact, we’ve spiked after Trump approved Jack on Tuesday and Wednesday. “So it actually has the opposite effect, a surge in our lowness, a surge in volunteers, we’re now knocking over 3,000 doors a week and getting an incredible response from the grassroots.”

Spadea said, “Nearly every Trump supporter we’ve spoken to on the ground thinks Donald Trump has made a big mistake.”

And Supdare, interviewed in downtown Princeton, New Jersey, added, “Trump supporters believe in general policy, populism and patriotism. They’re not told who to vote for.”

Asked why Trump supported him and not Spadare, Ciattarelli said, “The president wants to win. He knows I will provide the best opportunity to win in November.”

“He knows we’re trying to raise the money we need. We’ve raised more money than the other five Republican governor candidates combined,” added Ciattarelli, a certified public accountant who started a medical publishing company before entering politics.

The fundraising advantage allowed Ciattarelli to control the ad war, but Spadea said “we’ve actually been broadcasting our opponents in recent weeks,” predicting that he’s “intentionally going to win.”

And pointing to his media career, Spadea said, “I have built the state’s largest audience, a third Democrat, a third independence, a third Republican. So my appeal isn’t just about that conservative foundation of the Republican Party.

New Jersey has long been a blue trend, but Republicans have been successful in the governor’s election.

“It’s not a blue state when it comes to governor races. Republicans have won six of their last 11. That’s better than 50%,” Ciattarelli said.

And Trump, who spends his summer weekend at a golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, held a very large rally in Wildwood, New Jersey, improving from a 16-point election in the 2020 election to a six-point deficit last November.

“The president is doing very well in New Jersey. He played last year’s Election Day well here,” Ciattarelli said.

And Ciattarelli looked forward to the general election campaign and said he was “really looking forward to” Trump’s active participation… I think New Jersey is worried that he will put him on the campaign trail with me and bring a victory for us in November.

The race of New Jersey governors is one of two states along with Virginia to host a governor’s contest the year after the presidential election, so as election day approaches, it will attract the attention of many citizens.

“We were the spark that sparked the Hughes in a race that was very close to 21,” Ciattarelli said, pointing to a voting performance against Murphy four years ago.

“Because this country is watching, I think we’re going to give a very loud and clear message that New Jersey is now a Republican this year,” he predicted.
