City officials issued updated curfew guidance for downtown Los Angeles amid scheduled protests and events this weekend.
The 8pm to 6am curfew applies to the downtown Los Angeles area surrounded by 5, 10, and 110 highways. Authorities have clarified who will be exempt from the order if the law enforcement ceases and what documentation should be carried by individuals.
Images on Google Maps show the affected area of downtown Los Angeles, placed under a temporary curfew by Mayor Karen Bass on June 10, 2025.
Curfew exemption and documents
The following groups will be exempt from the curfew.
Residents living within the curfew zone where they work in the area are protected in the zone for public safety and individual journalists who have qualified as paramedic medical patients utility and construction worker.
Event participants must post their attendance proof, including game tickets, and leave the curfew zone immediately after the event is over.
Transport and Travel Considerations
Metro will continue to provide normal service unless disruption is deemed necessary for public safety. Rideshare and food distribution services are permitted to operate, but drivers must prepare to display pickup or drop-off proof via the app. Dodger Stadium Express continues with this weekend’s game.
According to the mayor’s office, the curfew will remain in place from 8pm to 6am and remain in place until further notice.
