Crews quickly knocked down a recreational vehicle fire in Vanneis on Saturday afternoon, with up close footage capturing the violent flames that proved to be fatal.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the incident occurred around 1:16pm, with the RV parked along the curb in the industrial area at 13,400 W. Raymer St.
The LAFD crew arrived and found the RV burning completely. Video provided by multiple civic app users showed that thick plumes of black smoke could be seen from hundreds of yards away, while videos of people a few feet away showed a fierce battle between firefighters and the flames.

“The fire was extended to nearby companies and other vehicles, but the remains of one person (undetermined age/gender/site affiliation/status) were found within the burnt wreckage of a Class A-style camper,” Lafd said.
Authorities said no other injuries have been reported as a result, and the cause of the fire is under active investigation.
