Days after his acceptance speech at the Country Music Awards went viral, Trent Wilmon is clearing the air.

Wilmon’s speech received a lot of backlash online, but he now wants to clear the air.
“Okay…I was so shocked and excited that what I wanted to say is that I’m so proud of @codyjohnson. He’s been putting out and performing amazing music for the past 15 years.
