Delaware Republicans borrowed the current “Cold Play Concert Case” meme to criticize the state’s Democrat majority amid the legislative momentum of the first state offshore wind project.
The Delaware GOP meme inserted “Delaware Democrats” for former astronomer CEO Andy Byron. It is represented in memes reused by wind power interests.
The meme included an inset that allegedly showed contributions from US winds, a repetition of the Baltimore-based Italian energy company.
Fox News Digital has reached out to comments from the mentioned lawmakers, including Delaware Lt. Col. Kyle Evans Gay, Delaware House Speaker Melissa Minor Brown, D. Delaware City, and Senators David Sokora and D-Newark.

Within the past few weeks, Delaware has taken steps towards developing wind energy off the coast of its iconic beaches.
Most Republicans in Congress represent two lower beachfront counties, Kent and Sussex, but Democrats have multiple in Newcastle County, more suburban north, including former President Joe Biden’s hometown of Wilmington.
Last month, the state Senate approved a resolution overturning a local decision to deny Sussex’s wind licence application.
The county originally planned to reuse the coal-fired power plant in Dugsboro as a wind substation.
The project is attempting to connect the factory to the west of Bethany Beach, based on the proposed installation of wind power from the state’s coastal fishing area north of the popular beach town.
Sussex Sen. Brian Pettyjon said why the move is made up of people who are telling the county.
“Climate cult” when lawmakers push the Fed’s blue-state obstacles to bounce back to “US energy domination.”
The resolution was proposed by Newcastle County Democratic Sen. Stephanie Hansen.
In December, US Wind announced that Dover had approved three permit applications to connect offshore wind power to the Delaware electric grid. CEO Jeff Gribowski said in a statement at the time that it was a “significant step forward” and that stakeholders wanted feedback from the public.
“We are excited to secure these final approvals and move forward in providing a large amount of clean energy to the area,” Gribowski said.
“Offshore winds will reduce electricity bills for Delawareans, meet the local important needs for more electricity in the region, improve air quality throughout the state, and support all local jobs.”
Fox News Digital reached out to the US wind to comment on inclusion in the meme.
On a declined day, the Biden administration approved a major offshore wind project called the “Maryland Offshore Wind Project Cop,” which sits from the coastlines of both states.

Delaware Republicans have seen additional support for the overall opposition, including several residents who spoke at the 2022 symposium on Fenwick Island, across the line from Ocean City, Maryland.
Local auto dealer Jeff Pohanka was recorded as saying that states must assess which energy sources meet demand and whether such sources need to be reliable.
“Wind energy is unreliable because wind speeds do not match normal energy demand. Cost is also a factor, and wind power is 400%+ higher than other sources of electricity, such as land wind power and solar energy,” says Pohanka, according to Fenwick Island records.
“Delaware is not opposed to Maryland’s actions allowing up to 200 wind turbines from Delaware’s coastline.”
Ocean City Mayor Rick Meehan, an independent mayor who previously criticised offshore wind plans in the region, warned of the impact of tourism and warned that Atlantic sunrise “seems to be the backdrop of Star Wars.”
