The latest Democrat in Oregon state legislator visits El Salvador for deported illegal immigrant Abrego Garcia
“Hey [Sen. Van Hollen]I went ahead and changed the plaque in your office for you,” Collins wrote.
Collins repeatedly criticized Van Hollen to travel to El Salvador to meet with members of the accused and illegal immigrant Kilmer Abrego Garcia. In another post on X, Collins accused Van Hollen of “Traitorse.”
Furthermore, when Van Hollen first announced his trip to El Salvador, Collins replied, “If you’re going to defend illegal gang members more vigorously than American citizens, don’t come back.”
The deportation of Abrego Garcia caused a stir among Democrats. Many say El Salvadorian citizens are hardworking Maryland residents who have violated their legitimate procedures.

However, Abrego Garcia, who illegally entered the United States in 2011, remained illegally in the country despite an order of deportation in 2019.
According to the Homeland Security Survey (HSI), Prince George’s County Police Gang Unit identified Abrego Garcia in 2019 as a member of the infamous 2019 Malasar Battle Cha (MS-13) gang. The HSI report also pointed out that Abrego Garcia is suspected of human trafficking after Tennessee’s highway patrol trooper met him in December 2022.
According to the HSI report, on December 1, 2022, Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper stopped Abrego Garcia after undergoing a “speeding” and noticed eight individuals in the vehicle, but no luggage was found. Abrego Garcia said individuals could “do the construction work” as they began driving three days ago from Houston, Texas to Temple Hills, Maryland. Additionally, the individual in the car reportedly gave the same address as the Abrego Galica home. The report says the troopers suspect a human trafficking case.
