Columbia University fell into demand from the Trump administration to recover $400 million in federal funds that were dragged over how schools deal with anti-Semitism on campus.
Ivy League schools have agreed to ban masks, give 36 campus police officers new powers, appoint a senior assistant department with broad authority to oversee the Center for Research in the Middle East, South Asia and Africa, and Palestinian Studies, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Colombia became the epicenter of anti-Israel protests following Hamas’ attacks on Israel on October 7, 2023. Students, outsiders and faculty members opposed Israel during the demonstration. Meanwhile, Jewish students have expressed concerns about anti-Semitism on New York City’s campus and confusion from protesters.
Earlier this month, the Trump administration revoked the Trump administration and yanked $400 million in school grants and contracts for failing to deal with anti-Semitism on campus.
