Hollywood’s finest gathers at all Dolby Theatres for the ongoing 97th Academy Awards at host Conan O’Brien.
When they enter the show with a clear favorite, many in the industry wondered who would bring home the top prizes of the night.
Some candidates include “Brutal” and “Evil” each with 10 nominations, “Conclave” with eight nominations, and six “Anola”;
The top candidate of the night, “Emilia Perez,” has 13 nominations, but faced some controversy after the film star Kara Sofia Gascon was criticized after past social media posts resurfaced.
Other award-winning actors include Ariana Grande and Cynthia Eribo of “Wicked,” Demi Moore of “Material,” and Timote Charamette of “The Complete Unknown.”
Also, tonight was a recent Los Angeles wildfire, destroying the Altadena and the Palisade community in the Pacific earlier this year.
