Social media conservatives were delighted on social media on Wednesday after the Supreme Court upheld Tennessee’s law banning treatment for gender transitions for young people.
In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court ruled Tennessee Senate Bill 1. It ruled that “prohibits all medical treatments intended to allow minors to recognize or contradictory identity with the minor’s gender, or to allow them to deal with discomfort or distress from “minor sex and alleged identity inconsistent identity discrepancies.”
Social media conservatives who viewed the verdict as a victory for parents’ rights quickly praised the court’s ruling.
“A big win,” conservative commentator Matt Walsh posted on X.

“A massive victory for sanity,” Town Hall columnist Dustin Greige was posted on X.
“This is massive!” Conservative commentator Charlie Kirk posted to X.
“Great news!” GOP MP Riley Moore posted on X.
“This is a massive victory over common sense and our youth safety,” the American Principles Project posted on X.

“A national ban on transgender surgeries and hormonal medications for minors is needed,” he wrote on conservative influencer account libsoftiktok X.
Writing for the majority, Supreme Court Justice John Roberts said the law in question had not been strengthened in scrutiny because it was not classified as a ground for which the review was enhanced.
All three liberal justice were challenged, especially in this case.
The law in question prohibits states from allowing healthcare providers to supply adolescent blockers and hormones to promote the transition of minors to another sex.

The Supreme Court will be seen on December 17, 2024, on Capitol Hill, Washington.
It also targets state healthcare providers who continue to provide such procedures to gender dysphoric minors. These providers open up fines, litigation and other liability.
In a dissenting opinion joined by liberal colleagues, Judge Sonia Sotomayor wrote that the majority would “renounce transgender children and their families on a political whim.”
