According to a rebellious group of Republicans, they are “prepared” to keep the government open and work with leaders in both the House and Senate. And now, with some leverage in the closure debate, Congressional Democrats are demanding that Trump guarantee that Congress will pay it and spend money to protect it from doges.

A source familiar with the matter told Fox News that this could take shape under the provisions of certain bills that hamstring Doge.
Republicans will need some democratic support to pass the spending bill to avoid partial closures. The Senate requires 60 votes. So, if all Republicans support it, at least seven Democrats need to cross the aisle. The House only needs a majority, but full Republican support for the bill is not guaranteed.
