Attorney General Pam Bondy is facing scrutiny over the comments he made this year about Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking incident after the Justice Department and the FBI suddenly ended Epstein’s investigation over the weekend.
The White House was burned by reporters about Bondy’s remarks on Monday. This appeared to be a contradictory to the FBI with the note released Monday, stating that the Epstein review had been completed and there was nothing to share about it.
Fox News’ Peter Doucy asked White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavit about Bondi, who apparently confirmed that there was a private list of Epstein’s sex trafficking clients in February.
“She was saying all the papers, all the papers, all the papers, in relation to Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes, and that’s what the Attorney General was referring to.

Doocy’s question was a reference to John Roberts of Fox News, who asks Bondi in a TV interview if DOJ plans to release a “list of Epstein’s clients.”
“I’m sitting on my desk right now,” Bondi said at the time. “It was a command by President Trump. I’m reviewing it.”
Asked about Bondi’s previous remarks, a DOJ spokesman pointed to Leavitt’s comments, saying the Trump administration is more transparent than its predecessor.
“We have achieved more transparency in six months than the Biden administration did in four years,” a spokesman told Fox News Digital.
The newly released DOJ and FBI memos have cancelled theories about the non-public Epstein list that have been promoted for many years by Trump supporters’ voice facts.
“This systematic review revealed that the ‘client list’ was not guilty,” the memo read.

Bondi first attracted criticism in February after teasing about the release of damages related to Epstein. However, the Attorney General accused the FBI of failing to make the new information public and withholding “thousands of pages of documents” from her.
At the time, the Trump administration invited a group of right-wing social media influencers to the White House, giving them a binder of what appears to be the first time they’ve seen highly anticipated Epstein-related material.
The widely distributed photos showed White House visitors smiling with binders labeled “categorized” and “Esptein File: Phase 1.” Epstein information, which was later published online, was primarily compiled of public court documents.
Some of the same influencers used X to express their distrust of the new memo and sought an alternative to Bondi.
“I should be on vacation, but it’s time to fire Pam Bondy,” writes Liz Wheeler.
Mike Sernovich wrote that the FBI and DOJ had put up a note, “Everyone is p****” and “No one can understand.”
Logan O’Hundley called the memo “a shameful chapter in the history of our country.”
In response to a question from another reporter, Leavitt said that private material was too explicit and too clear to release.
“Frankly, it was incredibly graphic and it included child pornography, so there was material they didn’t release.

The DOJ and FBI notes reiterated that in 2023 the FBI and DOJ inspectors confirmed that Epstein had died of suicide.
Following the failed unfolding of the file, Bondi raised his eyebrows again in May by charging reporters “there are tens of thousands of videos of children and child pornography and Epstein, with hundreds of casualties.”
However, the public court filings and newly released memos do not support the statement. However, the memo said “files related to Epstein” include “10,000 downloaded videos and images of illegal child sexual abuse materials and other pornographic images.”

Epstein was indicted in 2019, employing a young 14-year-old woman and girl, allegedly engaged in sexual relations at homes in Manhattan, Palm Beach and other areas. He is said to have sexually abused some of them.
Authorities confirmed that Epstein was in a New York City prison in 2019 before he was brought to trial. His associate Gisleine Maxwell was convicted of conspiring a minor to sexually abused and sentenced to 22 years in prison.
