A dramatic collision involving a vehicle transporter and a large rig closed lanes on the southbound 405 highway through Los Angeles’ Brentwood area during the commute Wednesday.
The incident was reported around 2:15am on 405 southbound near West Sunset Boulevard, according to California Highway Patrol Incident Log.
The video showed a large rig collided with the car carrier from behind, pushing part of the carrier’s ramp into the back of the truck taxi.
Authorities have not confirmed any injuries resulting from the crash, but freelance media company KNN reported that the two were seriously injured.

All southbound lanes appeared to be temporarily closed as emergency crews responded to the scene.
Two lanes and the Getty Center Drive Lamp remained closed as of 5am
A major delay was being created as commuters tried to pass through the Sepulveda Pass. The closure was expected to remain in place until around 7:20am.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
Wednesday’s crash marks the second major incident on the same highway in more than a week.
On June 23, Los Angeles Police Chief Shiou Deng was killed near Getty Center Drive near Getty Center when he was hit by a vehicle while trying to assist in a traffic collision.
