Police have arrested a coordinated crew of three suspected homeless suspects after linking at least 25 crimes in Los Angeles, most of which have been robbed.
In a video posted to Instagram last week, LAPD said these individual arrests were the result of a series of robberies in North Hollywood, vehicle theft, fatal weapon attacks and criminal threats between January and March 2025.
“When interviewed, the suspect admitted to committing these crimes to support their drug use,” read the caption in the post.
In the video provided by LAPD, most of it was captured by ring cameras, so suspects use bolt cutters to infiltrate the property.
“In many cases, security and doorbell cameras provided important leads to get suspects to act and help detectives build the case,” the statement said.
While most footage shows suspects acting individually, the department said that as the investigation unfolded, detectives identified patterns and found connections between the crew.
The first arrest took place on March 23, with officers responding to reports that the woman was screaming.
Officials did not immediately provide further information as to why she cried out or where this happened, but officers arrived, identifying the woman from the crime flyer and arrested safely.
The next two arrests both took place on March 27th.
First, authorities found one male suspect as he was riding a bike near Chandler Boulevard and Colfax Avenue. Recognized again from the crime flyer, officers arrested him safely.
Later that day, LAPD said another male suspect had been found by the Violent Crimes Task Force.
“Officers came across a tent along the embankment of the highway and recognized the individual from the crime flyer,” LAPD said. “He was also arrested without incident.”
Overall, LAPD said the Van Nuys District Attorney’s Office had filed a 25 felony count. This included 16 counts for robbery, seven grand larceny cars, one felony avoidance and one crime threat.
