Police are investigating whether the suspected robbery crew is responsible for multiple “bank jugs” incidents reported in Orange County this month.
Investigators were warned in the incident on July 2, when officers investigated the robbery of two vehicles in Irvine, where the victim just retracted money, Irvine police posted on X Thursday morning.
A potential suspect vehicle has been identified as a black Ford expedition with a California plate reportedly stolen. Detectives discovered the Orange County Expedition Visiting Bank on Tuesday using plate reading techniques.
“In Seal Beach, the suspect stole the banker’s bags, robbed the car and stole the banker’s bags after the owner made a bank transaction,” police said.
The three suspects identified as Maurice James, 24, and Samuel Marcus Polite, 20, all 22-year-old Ja Vion La Champ Matthews, 22, have been stopped and arrested after searching the vehicle.
Inside, detectives found stolen banker bags, fake license plates, robbery tools, ski masks and cash.

Detectives are currently trying to determine whether the same suspect is responsible for Irvine’s July 2nd Bank Jag lawsuit.
Police described banks as a nationwide trend that involves suspicions that banks monitor banks and monitor customers who withdraw cash. They then chase the victim and go to the next stop and robbery the vehicle.
James, courtesy, Matthew was all booked for alleged conspiracy, vehicle robbery, felony vandalism, possession of robbery tools and possession of stolen property.
