LOS ANGELES (KTLA) – Residents of Studio City are getting caught up in after two upscale homes on the same street were robbed in weeks. .
Residents say there are similarities in the invasion.
The robber crew is usually three people and escape drivers. The crew targets large, modern homes where residents leave town or depart in the evening.
The recent invasion on January 31st occurred before 9:30pm, with home surveillance cameras photographing a white Mercedes parked at the intersection of Clamp Avenue and Valley Spring Lane.
The three of Parker leave the vehicle and expect a 12-foot fence for the rental home while a fourth person is protected behind the wheels of the car.
“This is a very close and safe community,” Studio City resident Tony Lucente told KTLA’s Rachel Menitoff. “We all feel vulnerable because we’ve had two robbers on this exact same street lately.”

It was Lucente’s surveillance camera that captured images of the robber crew breaking out of Mercedes.

“This is, in my opinion, a big slap in the face of the community and LAPD.
Like other robbers, the three crew reportedly smashed glass doors behind the house to get admission and left the house with a bag full of family valuables.
With a further twist of strangers, the thief runs the kitchen faucet and the fridge door remains open, leaving homeowners “nod to “Wet Bandits” from the 1992 blockbuster Christmas movie Home Alone I believed that.
Less than 10 minutes after entering the house, the trio and escape drivers can be seen turning Mercedes in the driveway and leaving the area.
“Perhaps there are a lot of these breaking invasions happening now. Everything follows the same trend of breaking the glass door next to the house and looting it when no one is in the house,” Studio City said. resident Sean Wolf told KTLA.
Many people in the area said they believe burglars are taking advantage of the thin stretch of LAPD due to the recent Pallisard and Eton fires.
So far, no arrests have been made.
