The biker was killed in a multivehicle crash that occurred overnight at Vermont Square.
Authorities were first called to the West Vernon Avenue and South Figueroa Street areas around 1am Sunday, preliminary information shows.
Although LAPD could not immediately confirm many details surrounding the incident, a video posted to the Civic App shows multiple shipwreck vehicles near a sidewalk with debris scattered nearby. In separate footage, a man was seen loading onto a stretcher as the crowd began to gather at the crash site.

The third angle shows the body beneath the white sheets of the road.
LAPD provided details surrounding the incident before 8am, indicating that the bike was riding east across Figueroa as it was struck by a southbound car.
The bike bike, identified by LAPD as a 29-year-old man, was declared dead at the scene by the first responder.
The 32-year-old driver involved in the crash was taken to hospital in danger.
According to a man who lives nearby, he and other neighbors immediately rushed to the scene after hearing the loud noise and got there in front of the first responder.
“My neighbor said he heard it loudly. When he came out, he helped one of the people trapped under the car,” said resident Gonzalo Almaraz. “They tried to lift the car and extract the person.”
Almaraz said one of the drivers on the white Honda had been injured in his face. He also said crashes often occur in neighborhoods where many families with children live.
I don’t know what caused the crash. The roads were cleared by 7am on Sunday.
