A high-speed chase in West Los Angeles ended in a fiery crash into a home Saturday night.
According to preliminary information, CHP officers began a pursuit on the northbound section of Highway 405 near the Sepulveda Boulevard exit around 9:45 p.m. after the driver of a burgundy SUV failed to yield. .
The driver then exited the highway, turned around and headed south on the 405, eventually exiting at Culver Boulevard in Culver City.
Shortly after exiting the highway, the SUV hit a guardrail and crashed into a house.

It is believed that four people who were inside the vehicle at the time of the accident required rescue by first responders.
No serious injuries were reported. It is unclear whether anyone was inside the home at the time.

“I thought I was going to die,” one passenger told news stringer OnSceneTV shortly after the crash.
“It was like, ‘Boom, boom, boom,’ and after the first blow, I went crazy…I still had blood on my hands,” the man said.

Video shows the driver of the vehicle being taken into custody by police. The three passengers were released.
It was not disclosed why police began pursuing the vehicle.
