The Democratic National Convention voted on Monday to override the election of David Hogg as Democrat vice-chairman.
The vote comes after an internal criticism of Hogg, but party officials say the vote is based on procedural challenges held in February, claiming that Hogg and another official were inappropriately elected. DNC will vote later this year on whether or not to remove Hogg.
“[It’s] According to Politico, Hogg said in a statement after the vote. “The DNC pledged to eliminate me and this vote provided a way to quickly track that effort,” Hogg said after the vote. ”
The vote on Monday also expelled Pennsylvania Assemblyman Malcolm Kenyatta as DNC vice-chairman. Christine Pelosi, a member of the Qualification Committee and daughter of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif), argued that the votes were not responding to their performance.

“First, I would like to state this decision clearly and explicitly that it has nothing to do with the services of DNC officers, particularly those of us. [Hogg] or [Kenyatta]. This concerns a violation of Congressional procedures raised in February on an issue raised by another candidate for Vice-Chair. ”
“When I say I hope that both of these talented individuals will once again name the vote, I think I’ll talk to them for all of us on the committee,” she said. “We move quickly to resolve this. I have full confidence in DNC members to review this issue and vote for their conscience.”

Hogg clashed with veteran Democratic strategist James Kerrville when he co-appeared on a podcast by journalist Tara Palmeli.
Kerrville criticized him as “hate” and “the highest level jacka” in order to prioritize pushing Democrats over be-hitting Republicans. Hogg shot back that the party has both abilities. Kerrville demanded that the focus be on winning elections against the GOP.
Hogg argued that the key to his strategy was to “win the election.”

“It’s not about winning the election in Queens where you don’t run against Republicans. It’s about helping Democrats win the election.”

The two end up filling the hatchets, and Kerrville posts to X that DNC ”needs him” as DNC “fights” for the party.
