According to Axios, “dozens” of democratic lawmakers are boycotting restaurants over six high-level DC in Washington, D.C., and two restaurant groups.
Starr, one of those restaurant groups, told Fox News Digital that the boycott push was “baseless.”
“To our knowledge, the majority of LE diplomat employees are not interested in being involved in the process or being represented by the union,” a Starr representative said.
“Boycotts of all sorts can lead to losing the hours, wages and tips our hardworking employees rely on. It’s a shame that organizations that claim to represent LE diplomats’ employees will seek actions that harm them.”

The second business owner, Knightsbridge Restaurant Group, shot lawmakers more directly.
“How many of these council members even know themselves that they are signing?” he told axios.
Starr owns Osteria Mozza, Occidental and Le Diplomate. The latter has been Washington, DC’s mainstay for many years, including former presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
Knightsbridge owns Rasika, Modena and Bombay Club.
Knightsbridge did not respond to a request for comment by Fox News Digital.

Obama was discovered earlier this year at Amazon founders Jeff Bezos and Osteria Mozza, CBS News reported.
The boycott is run by Local 25, a hospitality workers’ union.
